Historically, the Riccobene family has been in the masonry business for generations, going back to the family's roots in Sicily.  Many family members are still residing throughout Italy and are continuing work in the masonry field as well as stone carving, construction and architecture.  In 1959 Tom Riccobene Sr., came to New Mexico from Washington D.C. and started doing business as Riccobene Masonry Company, Inc.  The current President, Tom RIccobene, Jr. and his brother Sal, Vice President started learning the trade as boys by observing and assisting their father, grandfather, uncles and fellow masons at work.

In 1975 the company moved to is current location and began manufacturing concrete products to focus on the do-it-yourself market.  In 1987 we began interstate sales of landscape prducts.  In 1996 our first patented FirstPrize Garden Edger was made available in the market with over 30 million units sold nationwide.

In 2003 after 10 years of research and development, Tom Jr. developed a technology he patented under the trade name of XeriStone  technology.  Xeristone  technology allows various irregular sized and shaped pieces to fit together in any combination or ratio to cover a surface.   Our first product utilizing this technology is Canyon  stone.  Canyon stone is very popular in the market place and is available throughout the western and gulf coast areas of the United States.

In 2008 RIccobene Masonry expanded it operations to include a new "wet cast" manufacturing facility.  Our first "wet-cast" product line which also utilizes XeriStone technology is called Sereno  stone.  Sereno stone will be available in the market place in 2009.
